Installation requirements for pipeline electromagnetic flowmeters

Requirements for straight pipe sections In order to improve the influence of turbulence and flow distortion, there are certain requirements for the length of straight pipe sections before and after the installation of the flowmeter, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy (a rectifier can also be installed to avoid installation near control valves and half-open valves).

Requirements for process piping The upstream and downstream process pipes of the flowmeter have certain requirements for the installation point, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes is the same as the inner diameter of the sensor, and should meet the requirement of 0.98DN≤D≤1.05DN (where DN is the inner diameter of the sensor, D is the inner diameter of the process pipe). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, and the coaxial deviation should not exceed 0.05DN.

Requirements for bypass pipes To facilitate maintenance of the flowmeter, a bypass pipe should be installed for the flowmeter. In addition, for heavily polluted fluids or fluids that cannot be stopped during flowmeter cleaning, it is necessary to install a bypass pipe. a. Convenient for maintenance of the flowmeter. b. It is necessary to install a bypass pipe for heavily polluted fluids. c. The fluid cannot be stopped while the flowmeter needs cleaning.
