How to get accurate flow in steam flow metering system?

2021-08-09
The amount of steam is generally realized through a steam flow meter metering system. Steam metering systems generally include flow signal measurement, compensation signal measurement (including temperature and pressure), and flow integration for receiving and processing these signals.

 1. Flow signal measurement
Mainly use various flow transmitters, flow sensors, etc., to convert the measured steam flow signal into a standard signal and send it to the integrator.

2. Compensation signal measurement
The pressure signal mainly uses pressure transmitters, pressure sensors and other pressure instruments; the temperature compensation signal mainly uses temperature instruments such as thermal resistance, thermocouple, etc., which converts the measured compensation signal into a standard signal and sends it to the integrator.

3. Flow accumulation
The steam flow integration is mainly completed by the flow totalizer (hereinafter referred to as the totalizer). The integrator receives the steam flow signal, pressure compensation signal, and temperature compensation signal measured by the system, and automatically queries the built-in steam density through the software (usually obtained by IFC1967 or IAPWS-IF97 formula), and then uses a certain mathematical model to calculate the steam Instantaneous flow, cumulative flow, etc. The totalizer can display and store the flow, and some also have the function of output and quantitative control.

4. Unit of measurement
The measurement of steam consumption currently generally adopts mass settlement, the unit of instantaneous flow is kg/h or t/h; the unit of cumulative flow is kg or ton.
