Partially filled electromagnetic flow meter installation&maintenance

The installation requirements of the partially filled electromagnetic flowmeter are basically the same as that of the standard full pipe electromagnetic flow meter.

(1) The installation site and position are determined as needed, but the electrode axis must be level.

(2) The electromagnetic flowmeter must have a good grounding to reduce the introduction of interference signals. There are two requirements for grounding. One is that the ground wire of the sensor and the converter must be connected to the measured medium, and the other is that the ground is zero potential.

(3) In order to avoid interfering signals, the signal wire between the sensor and the converter must use a special shielded wire and be worn separately in a grounded steel pipe. The signal cable and the power cable cannot be placed in the same steel pipe.

(4) When the flowmeter is installed underground, an instrument well is required.

(5) The unstable flow of the medium has no effect on the measured value, so there are no special requirements for the front and rear straight pipe sections when installing the flowmeter.

The maintenance workload of the partially filled electromagnetic flowmeter is very small, but after a period of operation, the sewage will often accumulate the adhesion layer on the inner wall of the sensor, which should be removed in time, otherwise the conductivity of the adhesion layer and the conductivity of the fluid will be inconsistent, which will cause the electrode circuit Open circuit or short circuit, the meter cannot work normally. Therefore, for the measurement of industrial sewage, it is best to ensure that the fluid flow rate is above 3 to 4 m/s when selecting the flowmeter, so that it can clean the pipeline to a certain extent and prevent the deposition of the adhesion layer.
