How To Protect Excitation Coils From Moisture?

The excitation coils are the core component of the electromagnetic flowmeter. There are two common methods for sealing the excitation coil. One is to use the upper and lower halves of the shell, and the sealing strip is compressed with screws to achieve a seal; the other is to use the shell to weld and seal Method to isolate the coil from the outside world. The latter is more reliable and can completely eliminate the breathing phenomenon of the coil cavity and prevent the intrusion of external moisture.

However, during the production process, the cavity around the coil is always filled with air, and the water vapor content therein varies with the changes in the atmospheric temperature and relative humidity during assembly. If the water vapor content is high, due to the decrease in temperature in the duct and cavity, condensation is likely to occur, causing the coil to become damp and the insulation to be damaged.

When the chilled water temperature is low ( 0<Temperature), replace the air in the cavity with nitrogen, and when the temperature is lower (such as -10 or lower), use methyl silicone oil (with Most manufacturers use transformer oil) to fill.

The enclosed dry medium will not escape, and in long-term use, the coil insulation will not decrease.
