How to deal with the influence of fluid viscosity on the accuracy of metal tube rotameter

The fluid viscosity of the metal tube rotameter has a significant effect on the displayed value. When the water temperature is from 5C to 40C, the kinematic viscosity of water decreases, and the DN6 float flowmeter has an influence value of about 1%/C. For fluids with higher viscosity, the effect is greater. The float of the metal tube flowmeter is mostly magnetic, and the height signal of the float in the cone tube is transmitted to the outside of the cone tube through the magnetic coupling part. The fluid flowing in the steel pipe entrains some ferromagnetic impurities. These impurities are easily attracted by the float as they flow through the flowmeter. Lighter ones will cause the displayed value to deteriorate and increase, heavier ones will cause the float to stick and give false indications, and a magnetic filter should be installed in front of the instrument. The float moves up and down in the conical tube by the float flow of the metal tube, and any height of it corresponds to an annular flow area, but when the surface of the float and the inner wall of the conical tube are fouled, the annular flow area becomes smaller. There is a high trend in meter indication values, especially for small bore meters. Some researchers conducted experiments. After 24 hours of operation, the flow rate increased by a few percent, and foreign objects that were not visible to the naked eye adhered to the surface. Take out the float and wipe it with gauze to restore the original flow indication.
